The team at OSPI consists of
staff across the subjects of ELA, math, science, educational technology, and
career and technical education. Working closely with statewide computer science
and STEM stakeholders, this team provides guidance for development and
implementation of Washington's computer science learning standards and computer
science education grants.

The Legislature allocated funding for Computer Science Education during the

SB6136: AP computer science as math is effective June 7, 2018. This bill removed the requirement for Algebra II/Integrated III to be taken before or concurrently with an AP Computer Science course to count as a 3rd year math credit.
